چکیده
Abstract Introduction The low blood flow in ischemic stroke reduces oxygen and glucose induces a series of reactions that produce free radicals. Free radicals can destroy cell membranes (lipid peroxidation) marked by the elevation malondialdehyde (MDA), damage deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) showed 8-hydroxy-2’-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG). This review aimed to assess conclude research-based study systematically analyze relationship MDA/8-OHdG stroke. Method Cochrane handbook for systematic reviews, guideline preferred reporting items meta-analysis (PRISMA), synthesis without (SWiM) reviews: was used as this review. Inclusion criteria were primary studies every design, articles published English around January 2000–December 2021, human subject. A literature search applied 15 electronic medical journals. authors assessed quality risk bias each included study. Results evaluated 374 found searching, 30 met review, then underwent assessment bias. Conclusion MDA has role oxidative stress biomarker, outcome predictor, mortality post-stroke cognitive impairment depression hand grip strength predictor stroke; while 8-OHdG

Overexpression of the hOGG1 gene and high 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) lyase activity in human colorectal carcinoma: regulation mechanism of the 8-OHdG level in DNA.
8-Hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is one of the most abundant oxidatively modified lesions in DNA. Our previous study (Kondo et al, Free Radic. Biol. Med., 27: 401-410, 1999) revealed that human colorectal carcinoma cells are oxidatively stressed based on 8-OHdG determination. To elucidate 8-OHdG metabolism and its clinical significance in colorectal carcinoma, we studied the 8-OHdG repair s...
متن کاملUrinary Sulfate, Asymmetric Dimethylarginine, and 8-Hydroxy-2'-Deoxyguanosine:
Compounds found in the urine represent the end products of metabolism and are the expression of the efficiencies or inefficiencies of this process. Nutritional status has a direct effect on this metabolic efficiency. Careful assessment of certain urinary compounds can yield valuable information on the nutrient needs of the individual. Urinary sulfate, asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), and 8-h...
متن کامل8-Hydroxy-2-Deoxyguanosine Levels and Cardiovascular Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of the Literature
SIGNIFICANCE 8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is generated after the repair of ROS-mediated DNA damages and, thus, is one of the most widely recognized biomarkers of oxidative damage of DNA because guanosine is the most oxidized among the DNA nucleobases. In several pathological conditions, high urinary levels of oxidized DNA-derived metabolites have been reported (e.g., cancer, atherosclero...
متن کاملIncreased 8-hydroxy-2’-deoxyguanosine in leukocyte DNA from patients with type 2 diabetes and microangiopathy
OBJECTIVE To evaluate oxidative damage in leukocytes from patients with type 2 diabetes by examining 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels. METHODS Patients with type 2 diabetes and healthy controls were assessed for demographic, clinical and biochemical characteristics. Levels of 8-OHdG in extracted leukocyte DNA were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS Of 108 pa...
